Tile Art

To say that I love scrapbooking or card making would be so wrong.  I love crafts of all kind.  Recently my mom has been creating some wonderful wall hangings.  She takes a barn wood frame, floor tile,  some grout,  a focal piece, puts it all together and she has a masterpiece.  Gotta love it.

Stampede Pre-lunch

Wow - a room full of excited women, food, and giveaways.  The Stampede pre-lunch was a blast.  I met so many people.  Scrapalette, MamaC, Joy from Obsessed with Scrapbooking, and the list goes on.
Michael was there to give out some great prizes.  I was lucky enough to win Baby Steps.  Yeah me!

Stampede bound

I am off for the first leg of my Stampede weekend. I am going to spend the night at my mom's. This will put me two hours closer to Dallas. Then, I'm off early in the morning for the pre-lunch. I am so excited to be able to meet all the people from the message board and spend time with people who share this great hobby with me. Yeehaw!

Sympathy Card 2

This card was so quick to make.  I really like the way it turned out.  The cut is from Cindy Loo and I am loving this image. I will definitely be using it on another card.

Sympathy Card

These are my least favorite cards to do, but we all know they have to be done.  Due to a recent death I was forced to confront my avoidance and make one.  While checking out YouTube I came across a video by Becca at Amazing Paper Grace.  She demonstrated how to create this figure 8 bow.  I knew it would be perfect for my sympathy card.  I added a Martha Stewart mat and a Spellbinders cross and my card was complete.

Baby Card #3

I couldn't make baby cards without using the super cute baby from Everyday Paper dolls.  I chalked the edges of the clothes and popped the head.  The face was stamped with Peachy Keen Basic Doll face stamps. I think I might have to make a shopping trip and purchase the baby faces.

Again, very simple but cute.

Baby Card #2

Wow, can you believe it?  Two post in one week.  I am on a roll.

This card was super simple - gotta love simple.  I can't remember where I purchased the "It's a Boy" and "It's a Girl" ribbon but I have been wanting to use it for so long.  I backed it with a strip of paper punched with a scallop punch.  The adorable baby is from New Arrival with a Peachy Keen Stamp.

Working in a school with mostly women the need for a baby card can come up at any time.
